Summary: The central problem in our project is the anthropological
and the socialphilosophical dimension of theory of subject in western
philosophical tradition and in contemporary philosophy. The main problems
considered in it are: disputes on anthropology, philosophical and
scientifical notions of man respective to the theory of subject, modern
concept of man, problem of institutions and anthropology of time. The
concept of man in Praxis-philosophy of Zagreb was also investigated. The
intention to the critique and synthesis was followed.
Keywords: theory of subject, philosophical anthropology, social philosophy, modern concept of man, institutions, anthropology of time, philosophy of praxis, question of man, critique, synthesis
Research goals: The subject is a very abstract category, present
explicitly or implicitly in the whole philosophical tradition, but
explicetly was it thematized in the lost two centuries. This category is
the basis of the theory of modernity and postmodernity. Until now was it
distinguished several aspects of this theory: gnosseological, ethical,
socialphilosophical and other ones. For comprehension of this themes
philosophical anthropologyis very important. In this investigation
attention is directed to the anthropological and the socialphilosophical
aspect of the problem. We have to found, where this phenomenon is founded,
for it can be conceived as an actuality of essentially human potencies, as
an synthesis of them. With this purpose the tradition of the philosophy
andanthropology must be studied as an exploration and reflexion of the
human being. The range, the methodologically qualities and its relation
to the theory of subject must be determined. Specially meaningful is the
philosophy of Kant and the recent philosophers as Scheler, PLessner,
Gehlen etc. The other philosophical orientations - philosophy of
existence, marxist philosophy, structuralism etc - will be treated only in
relation to the anthropology and to the theory of subject. Very important
is also the socialphilosophical dimension of the subject, especially
regarding the "large version" (Habermas) of it (classes, parties, nations,
organizations etc.), which are very important for life in modern societies
and for comprehension of power. The investigation will be concentrated
upon the propblem of anthropology in tradition of philosophy and later
upon the problems of the institutions, anthropology of time and upon the
power as an philosophical and socialphilosophical problem. This are the
themes of Hotimir Burger. The Praxis-philosophy of Zagreb and the whole
Croatian philosophy with its notions of man and freedom are also themes
for the following phases of this investigation. This are the themes of
Veselin Golubović. Other information about the project.
