Summary: According to classical written sources up to the middle of
the 6th century AD only two Episcopal Sees, Iader and Scardona,existed in
the territory between the Zrmanja and Krka rivers(ancient Liburnia).
Contemporary sources do not define the borderbetween these two Sees.Two
types of data: historical andarchaeological, are used to solve this
problem. Results obtainedindicate that the jurisdiction of the Scardonitan
See encompasedthe whole area in question with the exception of the Iader
ager.

Summary: Thirty archaeological sites between the rivers Zrmanja and
Cetinaare analysed with reference to sacral continuity from theClassical,
through Early Christian to Medieval period. Resultsobtained indicate that
the majority of Medieval churches werebuilt on Early Christian sites.

Salonitanmetropolis are frequently dated either within a too broad
timespan, 5 th or 6 th century, or too late, in the second half ofthe 6 th

Summary: Analysis of sculptural decorations in Early Christian
churchesfrom Salona and Iader indicates the existance of two
specificsculptural workshop centers with specific and
recognizablecharacteristics. Although geometric motives dominate in
bothschools the organization and pattering of the motives isdifferent. No
mutual influences are discernible, and import issporadic and one
directional, from Salona to Iader.

typology,they can be classified into nine different groups. The bones

Summary: This paper analyses the ethnonim Illyrioi based on three
epitaphepigrams. Two of these were found in Corphu (Korkyra) and one inVis
(Issa). They are dated to the 3rd century B.C. and the 4thcentury B.C.
respectively. The first two are dedicated to Greeksoldiers who were killed
in Korkyra, while the third is dedicatedto the hero Kallias.

twoAvar-Slav sites (31 from Privlaka and 10 from Stari Jankovci)indicates a
heterogenous population structure for both sites.Members of 6 population
groups are present on both sites.Paleopathological analyses show that the
differential presenceof the population groups in the two sites is caused by
diseaseselection in the presence of tuberculosis.
