Summary: In the period 1991-1993 the field researces of
topography,toponymy and amterial findings in architecture
(fromprehistorical stone structures to early Middle-Ages buildings)were
done: they either document or identify the oldest localitiesat the
coastline and islands of the North Adriatic and theircontinued development.
The scientific elaboration includes especially work on thenatural
conditions favourables for position and development ofeach locality (land
configuration, gulfs and ports, spring-water,possibilities for agriculture
and cattle-breeding development,mineral riches). During the three years
period the Velebitcoastline has been searched, the area between Senj and
Starigrad,the Krk and Cres (partly) islands, the coastline from Bakar
toNovi Vinodolski and Istra, the Poreč area.
