Summary: Comparative method is mostly applied in the analysis of
thekajkavian dialect group, in context with other idioms and withspecial
reference to isoglosses. It is our aim to define the following features:
structural characteristics of the kajkaviandialect group, connection of the
historical development of thedialects and their speakers. Some chapters
deal with the studiesprevious to this work, and the others deal with the
developmentof the kajkavian dialects, their borderlines, criteria of
theclassification for each individual dialect, etc.

Research goals: The main goal of this work is the following:
-Concise description of the historical development of Kajkavian dialect
group; organic idioms are primarily concerned and less attention is paid to
the language of literature. -Description of all kajkavian dialects
according to the common criteria, trying to point out specific features of
each individual dialect. -This research is aiming towards a monograph about
kajkavian dialect group which is supposed to be a complete description of
all kajkavian dialects described as well as štokavian dialect. Other
