    Summary: In the paper the author is analyzing thirteen syntactic rules inthe Institutionum linguae Illyricae libri duo, the firstpublished Croatian grammar in 1604 by Bartol Kašić. A comparisonhas been done with syntactic principles in the grammar by ArdelioDella Bella from 1728 in the dictionary Dizionario Italiano,Latino, Illirico (...) ed anche una breve Gramatica. A moredetailed analysis of syntactic principles in Della Bella is thefofllowing step in nearly four century long continuity ofCroatian grammar.

    Summary: Božo Babić is the author of the oldest printed martime dictionaryin Croatian (1870), consisting about eight hunderd Croatianterms. It is the first of his five dictionaries. The lack ofsystematic Croatian martime terminology was the basic problem ofmartime teaching in the 19th century. The creation of technicalterminology is a demanding task and requires professional andlinguistic knowledge. The lexical treasury compiled by Babićthroughout his life is the base for the Croatian martimeterminology.

    Summary: The survey of the syntagm in the language of Tituš Brezovačkipresents the addition to the exisisting analyses of the genitiveof negation and it gives additional data to the Kajkavianliterary language. The analysis of the negation sentences in ourcorpus shows that the use of the genitive of negation for TitušBrezovački isn't syntactic rule, moreover, Brezovački usesgenitive and accusative (in the function of an object of thepredicate expressed by negation transitive verbs) as optionalvariants.

    Summary: The analysis of the school orthographic manual "Uputjenje k' slavonskomu pravopisanju" of 1779 shows the existance of a fixed graphic and orthographic norm. It prescribes only the features which are characteristic for most Slavonic writers in the second half of the 18th century. The manual adopts the morphological principle according to which graphemes ch, gj (phonemes /ć/, /đ/) in the morphological border are normed as tj and dj. This orthographic system is accepted by some writers outside Slavonia.

    Summary: The author gives the dictionary of KL and analyses its composition. As in Kl there are some unclear places the author states parallel texts from ZL, BL, HM, PM, Pist. and Rit. The lexicon of KL consists manily of Croatian words, words which are even now welllunderstood. Some unclear places are the result of misunderstanding of the original text as well as multiple copying. As a sacred ritual text KL could function in religious prectise regardless of this lack of clarity.

    Title: The Origin of the Song-book in the Cathecism Knižica duhovna (1768)

    Summary: The book Knižica duhovna consists of a song-book with songs of different origin: some of them are Mulih's, others Kanižlić's while some songs have been taken over form a čakavian song-book Pisme duhovne of 1750. In them we can see the influence of spoken literature and the Croatian baruque. As it is based on a multidialectal conception it has mostly štokavian songs although it is intended for the čakavian area. This work reflects the tradition of dialectal mixing in Cratian literature and it is the witness of standardization trends in the 18th century.

    Title: Orthographic Standard in Slavonia in the second part of 18th century

    Summary: In the second part of the 18th century there was a strict orthographic standard which was coded in the orthographic manual Uputjenje u slavonske pravopisanje of 1779. Three school manuals have been analyzed (Uputjenje u način pisanja poslanica, Uputjenje u brojo-znanje, ili račun and Uputjenje k'lepopisanju) which have proved the existance of this standard. The same orthography is used by Slavonic (as well as some other) authors before the Illyric times. Although the kajkavian graphy differs the orthographic standard for the kajkavian and štokavian area is the same.

    Summary: In word formation in Korčula lectionary a close correspondence with the contemporary state especially in the most productive formation types is stressed. In nouns, adjectives, adverbs the suffixation (from nominal to verbal stems) while in verbs prefixation and less commonly suffixation (from nominal and verbal stems) are the most common formational type. Other formational types have been confirmed in separate examples. Other influences in word formation are minimal.

    Title: On Some Problems of the Development of the Past Verbal Adverb (the example of Marulić's language and prose of his contemporaries

    Summary: Dominiation of "the past verbal adverb" with suffixes -v / -vši and suppresion of inherited formative types with suffixes -0 /-ši in the case of the verbs with consonant stem are caused by wondering of "II. and I6 classes verbs" between two formative types. This two-way phenomenon destabilised the inherited system and directed development towards forms ended with -v / -vši that are primarily typical just for verbs with vowel stem in the infinitive.

    Title: On the Problems of Development of the Present and Past Verbal Adverb

    Summary: The present verbal adverb with the ending -ći is a continuation of the nominative singular of feminime gender of the participle of active accusative. For its fixation in the Croatian laguage system the influence of the adverb budući has a determining role which occurs in this form from the beginning. The ending -v-vši which is primarily characteristic only for verbs with a vowel stem in the infinitive spread to all verbal types after some variations occured in certain verbal classes between the two different verbal stems.
