Summary: Based on the previously elaborated theory of poetic syntagmathis project contains a research into the characteristics of poetic syntagmas of the Croatian medieval literature. Since it deals with the first period of Croatian literature it is only the starting point of systematic research of the poetic language of Croatian literature in general. The research is carried out on several levels and in several phases: establishing the relevant texts, recording poetic syntagmas, making cataloques and computer processing. The ultimate aim of the project is to get, in one place, a listed and methodologically organized, in the form of a cataloque, a whole fund of poetic microstructures in the phase of Croatian literature in its earlier period of existence. This is to be the foundation of a Dictionary of the poetic language of Croatian literature. Such a systematized material, either in the form of cataloques or computerized, or in a publiched form, can serve asan approach in the research of the poetic language of other periods, and as a basis for various scholarly works as well.

Research goals: The goal of this project is, by using and approiate methodology in research, to make a sound analysis of the poetic language of the earlies period of Croatian literature. There result is a cataloque of poetic language as a basis for compiling a dictionary. The dictionary could be used for various comparative, lexicological and literary-theoretical studies.
