   Summary: The common denominator of this collection of articles and studies is the problem of the interaction of politics and literature, a dialog of the ideologems and aesthetemes in Croatian literature 19th and 20th century. Dividing the articles into three thematically unified groups, the book shows the spectrum of the autor's interes as much in the literary-historical and socio-cultural problems as well as the analytic-sintetic approach to the oeuvres of some writters, individual works and theircharacteristics.     Summary: The playwright, short story writer, novelist, memoirist andjournalist Rasim Filipović (1909-1983) belongs to those Croatianwriters who, with their literary works have been writing achronicle of the Bosnian mentality, having in their own wayrenovated the myth about the Bosnian man being a born storyteller. Filipović inherited this narrative syndrome which tracesits beginnings in the Sheherezade and (her) narrationsencompassing the whole life. What diminished his indubitabletalent was the absence of a more solid literary culture whichwould have made him into a more original and more sophisticatedmodern writer. But nothwithstanding, Filipović remains arespectable literary fact, primarily due to the play Pauk (TheSpider) and the novel Ničija (She Does not Belong to Anybody).

    Summary: The bibliography has been written as a part of the author's project "Croatian Literary Periodicals 1835-1990" - it was thefirst part of the sub-project Croatian Poetry of 80s.     Summary: The autor reflects on the vantage points of literary criticism on E. Kumičić. In the process he dedicates most of his attention to Barac's 3 P-code (Pedigree-Paris-Party of Right) in his appraisal of the place and Role of E. Kumičić in Croatian literature; Barac's approachs was taken over by almost all the post-Baracian literary historians. The criticism in last century was moch more involved in his works than present-day, contemporary, criticism. The central question is whether E. Kumičić's is among the writers whose significance highly outshines aesthetical appraisal.

    Summary: The Autobiography by Ivana Brlić Mažuranić (1874-1938) was written on the basis of the entries for biographic lexicon in 1916. an published in 1930. Its structure reflects an author of an eminenty n a r r a t i v e facture and a personality with a high degree of s o c i a l responsibility. Articulating the narrative strategies of Ivana Brlić Mažuranić, the author shows that h a r m o n y is a principle not only of Brlić's civic, but also of fer artistic world. Popularity of her literature isa based on structural characteristics of f a i r y t a l e , which enables her to defeng the model of a c i v i c sociaty and its t r a d i t i o n a l values even among the public of all ages.
