Summary: The project of the Croatian literary periodicals (1835-1990) had been researching the complete Croatian literary periodicals (reviews and newspapers) to affirm the number, particular and general character as well as their significance for the development of the national literature and culture from the Illyrism period to the present day.

Research goals: The fundamental goals of the project: philological and the literary scientific ones: I Philological goals 1. The bibliography of the complete Croatian literary periodicals from the very beginnings (Danica and Kolo, 1835/1842) to the literary reviews and newspapers renewed or founded in the sovereign state - the Republic of Croatia (1990); 2. The bibliographical description of every particular periodical with the facsimile head pages and program texts; II Literary scientific goals 1. The literary history survey of the creation to the development of the national literary periodicals 2. Literary history survey of the so called newer Croatian literature through the periodicals 3. Theoretical and methodological contribution to the general study of periodicals as a special publicaton (journalist) kind.
