Summary: From the vvery beginning of his work, besides sculptures,
IvanMeštrović was doing drawings as well. Such drawings are mostlystudies,
sketches and preparations for sculptures and are ofrather sculptural than
drawing expression. But from his earlyperiod of Vienna of 1904-1907, there
are preserved about 30drawings of symbolical and Secession style and of
particularlydrawing expression and higher artistic value than those
madelater. The paper deals with, analyses and valuates thesedrawings. The
paper is a report presented at the 5th Congress ofthe Association of
Societies of Art Historians of SFR Yugoslaviaheld 23-26 June, 1988.

Summary: At the St. Stephen's Graveyard (Sustipan), situated out of
thetown of Split, established in 1825 and destroyed in 1962, therewere
several tombs with sculptures made by outstanding sculptors.Among others,
there was a tomb with the portrait-bust of MilivojMilić, an early sculpture
of the sculptor Meštrović. The paper isa chapter from the monograph on the
St. Stephen's Graveyard thatis being printed.

Summary: The only monographical exhibition of the sculptor
AndrijaKrstulović who worked in Split and Zagreb (Professor at theAcademy
of Fine Arts). A review and analysis of his works. Asculptor of traditional
and Mediterranean orientation and theClassical association. Krstulović was
a Meštrović's pupil and hismost proliferate assistant. He transposed many
of the Meštrović'ssculptures into stone to maintain his influence for a
long time.
