Summary: The focus is on researching of the development of 28 settlements in the estate of Eltz family in the second half of the 18th century, from its economic and demographic aspects. The evaluation of the archieved results as the contribution to Croatian history.

Research goals: The study of published sources and literature. Researching of archives in the archives of Osijek, Zagreb, Budapest and Wien. The evaluation of the achived results. The research work has not been fully completed, as some archives are inaccessible due to the war danger. The proposal is to continue researching and to extend it up to 1848.
