Summary: The intention of this project is the publication of a numismatictopography as complete as possible of the space of the ancientIllyricum with a particular interest to Croatia, a record of coinhoards, individual coin finds, coins as grave-goods, of allperiods (FM, FMA, FMR), as well as of all collections of coinsand medals in the country.

Research goals: As a historical or an independent discipline in its own right numismatics is in a position, especially in our times, to offer clear answers to many questions concerning the history, economical history, art history, palaeography, iconography, heraldry, sphragistics, history of metallurgy and of trade. The immediate aim of this project would be the publication of a numismatic topography (FM - Fundmuenzen, FMA - Fundmuenzen der Antike, FMR - Fundmuenzen der roemischen Zeit) as well as of various collections (for instance SNG - Sylloge nummorum graecorum volumes), as has already been done in many western countries.
