Summary: War operations in the year of 1991 on the area of Slavonija
and Baranja interrupted started ecological investigations of Kopački rit
Reserve. So, samples taken before the war was particularly analised in
exile in Zagreb and particularly under the war conditions in Osijek. Given
results present an ecological state of Kopački rit Reserve just before the
war and can be useful in peace for ecological restoration of this very
specific flooded area of Danube River. Unfortunately, Kopački rit is still
ocupated area, so still unaccessible for our investigations. From this
reason, researcher Melita Mihaljević chosen fishponds in Donji Miholjac
for the investigation of the influence of fishstock to the development of
phytoplankton. We also took samples from the Drava river and from some
ponds in Osijek. Some researchers did not performs their duties, so they
are proposed for turning off from the project financing.
Keywords: phytoplankton ecology, biomass, floral similarity, chlorophyll-a, primary production, water quality, biomanipulation, Stara Drava channels, Kopački rit, fishponds in Donji Miholjac, Drava river,
Research goals: Coincident to changes of ecosystem on the bases of
qualitativeand quantitative compositions changes of
phytoplankton.Determination : trophic lavel of ecosystem, waterquality,
the anthropogenic influence on eutrophication andnegative influence of war
operations. Obtain results use inprotections of investigated and simillar
localities. Other information about the project.
