Summary: The purpose of this project is the investigation of the
influence of some chemical substances with different degree of toxicity, on
the essential biophysical parameters of biological sistems (bioeletric
potentials, ions current, bioluminiscence, free radicals). From
obtained results deduce conclusions abouth the applicability of research in
detection of contamination of enviroment and in identification of pollutant
at very low concentrations.
Keywords: biophysical parameters, chemical substances, effect
Research goals: The purpose of this project is the investigation
of the influence some chemical substances on the essential biophysical
parameters of biological sistems (bioeletric potentials, ions current,
bioluminiscence, free radicals), and to find out possible correlation
between the changes of biophysical parameters caused by certain chemical
substance and conditions of effect. The influence of the dispergent
hemisol on the resting potential of plant cells were detected. In
investigated concentrations interval, the hemisol provocated the
depolarisation of membrane, proporcional with the concentration. However,
at the dispergent concentration of 0,01 %, the hyperpolarisation of
membrane was occured in 60 % of cells. The time gradient of potentials
change, caused with concentrations changes, is in positive correlation with
the initial value of resting membrane potential in no contaminated solution
only at lowest concentration of dispergent. With increase of dispergent
concentrations, the correlation disappears. In some cells after the
change of concentration the oscillation of membrane potential was occured.
This is in agreement with our observation pyblished early, that the
oscillations grow out after the rapidly depolarisation of cells membrane.
The membrane hyperpolarisation and correlation between the time gradient
of potential changes and the initial value of resting potentials at lowest
concentration, may be connected with reversibile changes induced by
dispergent. This assumption requires additional investigations. All the
investigations have not been completed, and therefore the results are not
completely elaborated.
