Summary: In connection with proposed programme, comparative morphological, karyologycal, palynological, phytocoenological, ecological and phytogeographical investigations of the polymorphic genus Arum, Euphorbia and Mercurialis were carried out on the territory of Croatia, but also on larger area of distribution of the species: Macedonia, Italy, Greeceand, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary. The aim of this investigations was to resolve the problems of variability, taxonomic position and phytogeographical distribution of the species.
