Summary: In the North Croatian research work was on granites, migmatic rocks, dimension stone, crushed rock, quartz sands of the area Slavonic mountains and the review of the whole Croatia in respect to quartz sands and the brick and ceramic clays and evaporites. Also gold was investigated of the area Požeška gora Mt.

Research goals: The exploration included the work in the field, laboratory and cabinet. The methods in use were the geologic prospection, geologic mapping, as well as remote sensing and sampling. The laboratory work comprised microscopic analyses in transparent light and geochemical analyses by the method of atomic emission spectrometry with induced plasma (ICP). The scope of the project is further investigation of the Croatian potential resources. Investigations are directed to the non-metallic ores - crushed rock, building stone, quartz sands, brick and ceramic clays, metallic ores - gold, and energetic resources - coal. The research work was accomplished on granites, migmatic rocks of Papuk (dimension stone), dolomites of Papuk Mt. (crushed rock), quartz sands of the fringe area of Slavonic mountains (Ph.D. thesis) and the review of the whole Croatia in respect to quartz sands and the brick and ceramic clays. Among metals gold was investigated in the bimodal volcanic association from Požeška gora Mt. Upper Permian evaporites of Dalmatia and borderline areas of Lika and Bosnia were also investigated although they are not in Northen Croatia.
