Summary: The the investigations of Badenian and Sarmatian Ostracode fauna represents contribution in the paleontologic, biostratigraphic and paleoecological insight of the Miocene deposits in Croatia. The basic aim is the fundamental-scientific micropaleontological research with a goal to solve biostratigraphic relations of Miocene deposits in the wider area of the Paratethys.

Research goals: This project is intended to perform paleontologic, biostratigraphic and paleoecological investigations of the Badenian and Sarmatian Ostracode faunas in the Pannonian Basin of Croatia with main aim to provide new insight of fundamental-scientific knowladge in this micropaleontological group. In expectate of new biostratigraphic results and mikropaleontological contribution, this project will be used in basic geological research as well as in the application in the petroleum geology.
