Summary: Notable problems in the development of HEPP chain power
application software have been solved. Modular programming tools have been
implemented for purposes of experimental simulation. A relation has been
established between operation scheduling and network flow graph procedure
in order to make the optimization algorithm more efficient. A stable
numeric procedure of feedback controller design has been explored with
special emphasis the influence of problem conditioning.
Keywords: hydroelectric power plant chain, short-term operation scheduling, controller design, simulation, network flow method, topology, numerical stability of algorithm, conditioning of the problem
Research goals: The goal of the research is the development of
application programs for short-term operation scheduling, process
simulation and real-time feedback control for the HEPPs in the river basin.
Concerning the short-term operation scheduling, the contribution is
expected in the field of choosing the most convenient graph according to
the operation planning strategy. Special contribution is expected in the
field of numerically stable controller design based on conditioning
analysis. Other information about the project.
