Summary: The properties of electrical machines supplied by static
converters (rectifier power supply and inverter power supply) for DC
machines and induction machines are analysed. For that the researches of
the parasitic phenomena (additional losses, parasitic torques, noise and
vibrations) are carried out. The results of computations of main
electrical, mechanical and thermal values, at sinusoidal voltage supply and
inverteter power supply of induction machines, are compared with results of
measurements. Optimal modes of control of electrical machines for some
torque-speed characteristics are analysed. Researches of some special
measuring methods and automation of standard measring methods of electrical
machines are carried out. The influences of stresses, which occurs at heavy
working conditions, on deformations of mechanicl elements of machines are
analysed.
Keywords: Electrical machines, static converters supply, parasitic phenomena, additional losses, oscilating torques, noise, vibrations, commutation, temperature rise, control of electrical machines, automatic testing, stresses and deformations.
Research goals: - To clarify the phenomena that occurs in electrical
machines supplied from static converters; to determine their influence in
designing of electrical machines and on choice of materials for their
construction - To make basis for mathematical model development, which
enables more accurate determination of behaviour of electrical machines in
electromotor drives - To develope measuring methods and to automate the
measurements for testing the characteristics of electrical machines The
application of research results will enable better using materials in
construction of electrical machines, increase the reliability of machines,
enable energy saving during exploitation of machines, and reduce adverse
effects on human environment (noise and vibrations).
