Summary: * Research and development of telemetric data acquisition systems. The special system is to be developed to collect the data of electric power plants and system and to transmit them through public telephone network to central monitoring station. * Measurement of quality of electrical energy in Croatian distribution system. * Organization of metrology, certification and standardization service in Croatia. The scope is to organize the services compatible with appropriate bodies of the European Community and to create relevant documents harmonized with those of WECC, ILAC etc.

Research goals: 1.1 Developing an information system for acquisition of measuring data in real time through the public telephone network. System for remote data acquisition would be used primarily in public, but also in som other's organizations, for uninterrupted acquisition of necessary measuring data in real time. HEP would get data from electric energy counters in real time. This is useful for two reasons: a) continuous supervision of substations; this enables immediate and efficient control of energy flow; b) fast fault detection; c) fast and precise acquisition of accounting data
