Summary: The project includes the application of high technologies inmanufacturing, i.e. automation by computerization androbotization. In connection with this the possible changes infaculty education are studied. The possibilities of application above mentioned hightechnologies in industrial production of Croatia are considered,together with possible cooperation between scientificinstitutions and industry. Control algorithms for robotized manufacturing systems arestudied. Included also are the problems of artificialinteligence; "inteligent robots" which obtain environmentalinformation by visual sensors etc. Additional step in research is a study of new control alghorithmsimplementation on new microprocessor architectures and parallelprocessing.

Research goals: Individual technologies (robots, microprocesor, vision system, specific manufacturing technologies) are combined to obtain compete production units like inteligent robots, automated production line.
