Summary: Component and system failures may cause leakage or sudden
release of dengerous media (toxic, explosive, inflamable, ... ) with
consequences to people, property and environment. To mitigate the
consequences measures shall be established to assure required level of
risk/reliability. To establish adequate measures - QA requirements to
guarantee the maximum allowable risk the project research covers : - common
failure modes and causes having heavy consequences to humans, properti and
environment - application of new methods, models, materials and
technologies including expert systems in achiving the minimum required
reliability -Issuance of varios recommendations in order to repair damaged
components and to extend the remaining life of components
