Summary: The project "Interactive Optimization in Mechanical
Construction Design" is a contribution to the solution of more complicated
tasks in mechanical construction design optimization method. The foremost
aim of the project is the synthesis and analysis of transport machines
mechanisms performed by computers as well as the definition of the optimal
design methods of transport machines metal structures, with the
computerized calculation of the fatigue life.
Keywords: Interactive Design Optimization, Mechanical Design Synthesis, Transport Machines Mechanisms.
Research goals: Goals: 1. Development of the software support for
the synthesis and analysis of transport machines mechanisms; 2. Search for
optimal configuration of mechanical system (structural synthesis); 3.
Research and adaptation of design optimization methods, primarily concerned
with interactive optimization; 4. Development of criteria function
algorithms used for metal structures optimization ("Objective Function",
"Design Constrains"). Expected results: 1. The interactive design
optimization method of the transport mechanisms system and elements of
metal structures will be developed throughout the project. This would bring
further improvement of mechanical construction development methods and new
products for mechanization and automatization of transport and manipulative
actions. 2. Monography entitled "Optimization of Mechanical Constructions"
will be published within the project. Two M.Sc. and one or two Ph.D. are
expected, within a short time. Some topics will be issued in scientific
magazines or presented at symposiums. Other information about the project.
