Summary: An overview of elementary mechanisms of bond formation in
diffusion bonding of materials as well as process parameters is given on
the basis of collected theoretical and practical data. Bond types and
materials that are interesting for practical implementation in KONČAR
production processes are analysed.Bond types that are difficult to realise
due to their physical and mechanical properties, those that require costly
preparation and those that turn out faulty are analysed as well. The basic
shema of a diffusion bonding device together with a specification of
selected systems, subsystems and equipment is given.A laboratory device for
bond formation on real products has to be constructed and the produced
bonds have to be tested for their reliability.Whether diffusion bonding can
justifiably be implemented in proction has also to be defined.

Research goals: The objective of the research is to collect
teorethical and practical knowledge about the process of diffusion bonding
so that on the basis of: - analysis of problematic and conditionally
weldable materials that are implemented in contemporary electronic
industries - construction of a laboratory device and realisation of
diffusion welding joints with it - examination of joint quality on real
