Summary: Application of modern methods in operational research.
Optimal solution for the production transportation and use of cement and
the FGZ SPLIT CEMIND MODEL. Time as optimization criterion in the
transportation of cement and asphalt mixtures. Development of ways of
transporting concrete. Multi-criterional SPO for the selection of locations
for the RMC plants. Selection of locations for asphalt plants for the
construction of the Adriatic Highway, application of multicriterional
analysis - PROMETHEE method. Optimal management applied to environmental
projects, application of 0-1 programming. In order to improve the software,
several software packages have been tested so that the existing
optimization models can be adapted to the work on personal computers. At
the same time graphic software and the "visual representation" of numerical
models have been adopted and the model application has been simplified due
to a greater number of users. The software was expanded by the methods of
multicriterional analisys, i.e. software packages PROMCALC and GAIA, and a
general optimization package GB.
Research goals: Training of the young researchers working on the
project: completing their postgraduate and doctoral studies and getting
their M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees.
