Summary: This project provides the analysis of the reliability of
metal and timber constructions in buildings, with the data of the measured
load behaviour and the experimental results for tested structural elements,
for the purpose of evaluation of the reliability indices. The needs for the
correction of the structural models and loads in buildings are examined,
with the target and conditional reliability for the optimal construction
and duration of the buildings concerning the structural material and types
of constructions.
Keywords: reliability of metal and timber structures, data of the loads, experimental results, correction of the structural models, conditional reliability, optimal construction.
Research goals: The goal of the researching is to achieve uniform
reliability for the various limit states design and for the evaluations of
the structural models such as: steel roof constructions, beams and columns
of the steel frames, timber laminated girders, depending on the durability
of the random loads and with the partial safety factors for the loads and
the resistances. The expected results of the researching are the
corrections of the theoretical models concerning the characheristical
values for loads and resistances with the partial safety factors of the
structures. Other information about the project.
