Summary: A program for the nonlinear nonlocal numerical analysis of
space problems by the finite element method, using a microplane model for
brittle-plastic material concrete is to be worked out. The programme should
involve both monotonous and cyclic static loading as well as the creep
effect. The problem of slab and column punching for a flat slab structural
model is to be analysed by this programme. The structure is loaded by a
vertical force and by bending moment ap to failure. The results obtained by
this numerical analysis are to be compared with the results of model tests
known in the world.
Research goals: The aim of the project is to work out a programme
for the nonlinear nonlocal numerical analysis for space problems by the
finite element method in which the microplane model for the brittle and
plastic concrete will be used. The programme will include static loading,
both monotonous and cyclic, as well as the possibility of loading the
structure by given displacements. This programme will be used to analyse
the problem of slab and column punching for the flat slab structural
system. The results obtained by this numerical analysis will be compared
with the results of the model analysis of an identical structural system
by the authors A.A.Elgary and A.Ghali, published in ACI Structural Journal
September-October 1987. The results of the analysis will be presented at
professional congresses and published in journals both in our country and
abrood.
