Summary: Systematic continual work on a completion and correction of the data base of the 20th century architecture in Croatia together with a parallel release of the collections of works done by individual authors and work on specific subject matter. Parameters for an evaluation system are created by a selection of quality achievements, by establishing and defining their values, by recognition of their schools and influences upon them. The archive is organized in terms of: slide-index (registration is based on authors and urban units), card-index (dossiers of architects, index of architects, publishing), internal releases of the Atlas, students research, and plan-index (plans, illustrations for monographies and guides). The work in this area until nowadays has been organized by actions and efforts of individuals. By this project a systematic work is being achieved which is necessary from numerous points of view, and especially at the time when we are putting all our efforts into our recognition in Europe. Our 20th century in architecture has extraordinary value which, unfortunatelly, has not been presented to the Europe.

Research goals: - to completely register and identify, the building fund of the 20th century architecture in Croatia - to issue manuals for students and others, in order to bring the most important objects of the contemporary architecture closer to the public - elaboration and publishing of synthesis, treatises, doctor's thesis, MA. thesis, articles and urban planning on the territory of the Republic of Croatia - contribution to the knowledge of Croatian architecture's developing continuity, as of a technical, functional and formal phenomena within the entire term architecture. Contribution to an understanding of space as a result and basis of historical trends. - defining the importance of individual architects, certain periods, theoretical thoughts and spatial units in the area of space designing and architecture.
