Summary: In the project entitled "Extracorpored elimination of drugs
and poisons" we have studied the possibility of elimination of certain
substances from the body through a membrane, e.g., by means of
hemodialysis, hemoperfusion and plasmapheresis, as has been set in our
research draft. A very valuable information on the place and role of
extracorporeal procedurs in urgent medicine has been obtained by a
follow-up of the clinical picture and its correlation with the gained
numerical data (concentration of substances.) Some results received within
this project have been presented at the world congresses and published in
home and international literature. Some results are only expected as the
investigation is still under way.
Research goals: The aim of the reseach is to establish the clinical
significance of a particular extracorporeal procedure in urgent conditions
and its life-saving role. Some of the set goals are already obtained, and
presented at congresses as well as published in literature, while certain
parts of the research are under investigation, and results are only to be
obtained.
