Summary: Tissue air ratio (TAR), a basic dosimetric function, is not
ideally aplicable to all important locations in total body irradiation
(TBI) disimetry, because it reffers to central ray measurements. We
therefore induced the local TAR, which depends under specific distribution
of the scater, centers around the location of interest. Measurements were
performed in an anatomic watter fantom (made by a sculptor), and showed
lower values from the standard TAR by a few percent.
