Summary: After transplantation of 5 neonatal pancreas from syngeneic
donors in 39 % of recipients the normoglycaemia was present 60 days
later. Transplantation of pancreas and islets from allogeneic donors (but
maid tolerant to recipient), as well as some hypoglycaemic drugs, made
their metabolic condition stabile. It was shown that various relevant
hematological parameters, as well as the activity of some hepatic and
kidney enzymes, the amount of sialic acid and histological examinations,
were improved. Transfusion of UV-irradiated whole blood provoked specific
tollerance to allogeneic tissue by blocade of IL1. as well as a
suppressor T-lymphocytes. Function of APC from the thymus has also been
altered. Looking for etiology of leukaemia in mice we found that cell-free
supernatant of ML cells provoked leukaemia and death of syngeneic
recipients and reconstituted lethaly x-irradiated allogeneic recipients.
We beleve that the cause of that is leucemogenic particle. UVC light
povoked lyses of erithrocytes and the erythrocytes and their lysate might
mitigate harmful effect of UVC light on mammalian cells. We adapted
noninvasive compjuterised method for recording of somatosensory evoked
potentials (SEP) after electric stimulation of healthy and diabetic mice
and rats treated by drugs or after pancreas islet transplanation with the
purpore to judge the grade of late complications in diabetes.

Research goals: We tried to formed the dependence of beginning and
development of experimental diabetes and for that matter neonatal
syngeneic pancreas into diabetic mice were transplanted. We expected
normoglycaemia. Transplantation of syngeneic and allogeneic pancreas and
isolated islets as well a hypoglycaemic drugs would made the metabolic
condition stabile and haematological parameters, relevant hepatic and
kidney enzymes, amount of sialic acid and histological examination will be
made. We tried to escape the rejection or establish specific tolerance to
allogeneic graft, diabetic mice would be pretreated with transfusion of
UV-irradiated whole blood. Transplantation reaction we would like to pas
by encapsulation of isolated islets in biocompatible membrane.
Computerized noninvazive technique of somatosenzory electrically evoked
potentials was adapted for healthy, diabetic mice and rats, before and
after pancreas islet transplantation. Looking for etiology of leukaemia
in mice we would like to examine if cell-free supernatant of ML
non-irradiated, UV- or x-irradiated ML cells and supernatant of
UV-irradiated ML cells, irradiated ML with 100 Gy of x-rays, provoke
leukaemia and death of recipient.
