Communication
Summary: Couples with habitual miscarriages have been investigated
in aprospective study covering the period 1991-1994. Diagnosticscreening,
observation and monitoring were carried out as well asapplication of
preventive measures. In our research work we madeuse of clinical, genetic,
microbiological, ultrasound, endocrinologic and immunogentic methods. In the
investigationsconducted so far, possible causes of infertility were
discoveredin 88% of all cases, while 12% remained unexplained. A
prognosisof infertility is possible to make on the basis of detection
ofexternal and unfavourable hereditary factors. Only then does itbecome
possible to organize primary and secundary preventivemeasures.
Keywords: adversely genetic and enviromental factors, human reproduction, cytogenetic analysis, karyotype, prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound diagnosis
Research goals: Possibility of increasing the scientific competency
is given through examination of etiopathogenesis of infertility as well as
improvement of diagnostics competence. In that way it enables us to follow
achievments and results in the entire world and to transfer the world's
kvnowledge in cooperation with scientifically developped countries. Even
the last investigations in some fields such as chorion frondosum put us in
about ten of the most advanced groups which enable us to be included
adequately in exchanging experiences. With high risk couples in which
reccurency of unfavourable course of pragnancy is present, investigations
will make possible identification of continuously present genetic and/or
external unfavourable factors. Prevention can be possible by elimination of
teratogenic factors or as secundary prevention by prenatal diagnostics of
hereditary diseases (chromosomopathia and genopathia). The proposed
investigations in our population would present organized team-work on all
recent levels including possible personal as well as technical solutions on
each investigated level.
