Summary: Relationship between mallposition of the joint socket
andoccurrence of the chondromalatia and patello-femoral arthrosis
isresearched. The malposition of the joint socket by measuring of"Q angle"
and height of the socket is established. Furtheron, theeffect of femoral
and tibial rotational changes on malposition ofthe joint socket is
established. Torsional changes on femur aredetermined by clinical and
roentgenographycal metods (Ryder andCrane), and the deegre of tibial
torsion with tropometer ofself-made construction. The degree of
chondromalatia and arthrotic changes on the jointsocket as like as
localisation of this changes, is established byarthroscopy or arthrotomy,
if surgicaly operation has beenindicated. The specimens are analysed at
the Department of Anatomy, Facultyof Medicine, using a light or
electronical microscope. In addition, a statical and dynamical studies of
patello-femoraljoint is carried out, using a serial axial
radiographycaltechnic, under a load simulation.
Keywords: CHONDROMALATIA MALPOSITION OF THE PATELLA PATELLO-FEMORAL PREARTHROSIS ROTATIONAL DEFORMITIES OF FEMUR AND TIBIA
Research goals: The main purpose of the research is to establish the
effect oftorsional changes on lower extremities to malposition of
thejoint socket and also, to the development of the chondromalatia.
Beside that we establish position of joint ball and socket undera load
simulation. EXPECTED RESULTS Severe torsional anomalies at femur and tibia
cause a malpositionof joint socket, and appearance of chondromalatia of
the patella.
