Summary: The influence of biomechanical factors on osteogenetical
processes in the area of the proximal part of femur and acetabulum in
coxarthrosis was analyzed in the research article. Detailed clinical,
radiological, histological and histochemical research of apositional
growth of the bone in width in the areas of greater smaller strain caused
by arthrotical process and by verticalization of the force of
weight-bearing of the hip with sidewise limping is performed. The chosen
patients are analyzed scintigrafically and by axial computerized
tomography. The material for laboratory examinations is obtained from
operations of total hip replacement while that part of proximal femur is
removed.
Keywords: diferentiation of mesodermal tissue, osteogenesis, mehanical factors, proximal part of femur
Research goals: The aim of the study is biomechanical analysis of
the influence of mechanical factors on osteogenesis under influence of
different quality of strain. Expirience shows that Roux's theory of the
transversal growth of the bone, so-called preiostal way, is not in
accordance with clinical research with respect to functional adjustment.
The point of disagreement is Roux's presumption from 1895. that isolated
pressure or drag strain alternatly with drag strain influence the creation
of bone tissue, and strain with pressure and drag strain influences the
creation of cartilage. That aproach also did not find any clinical use.
This also applies for Pauwel's theory of longitudinal growth of the bone in
enhondral way. The influence of mechanical factors on the growth of the
bone in length was presented only for epiphisiar growth of the head of
femur. A contribution in explanation of the way of differentiation of
microstructure of mesodermal tissue with respect to different strains in
quality on the neck and head of femur in coxarthrosis could be expected
from this research.
