Summary: The aim of this prospective study is to establish
diagnostical and interventional abilities as well as reach of Transvaginal
and pulsed color Doppler (TVCD) in the management of infertile patients.
Further steps include improvement of already present methods in human
repoduction, increased acccuracy and simplicity of invasive procedures and
diminished costs of IVF/ET.Doppler results will be compared to hormonal
levels in order to establish the standards of ovarian and uterine
pefusion. These data will possibly define the optimum moment for oocytae
aspiration and embryo transfer. Diagnostic and therapeutic values of
Doppler hysterosalpingography will be evaluated. In case of unruptured
tubal pregnancy local instilation of methotrexate will be guided by TVCD.
Keywords: Transvaginal color Doppler, Infertility, Uterine perfusion, Ovarian perfusion
Research goals: The goal is to compare uterine and ovarian arterial
Doppler features to hormonal levels (E2, FSH, LH, PROG) during spontaneous
and stimulated ovarian cycles (different stimulation protocols).
Furthermore, we will estimate the corelation between itra-ovarian Doppler
paterns and maturity of the oocyte on one, and uterine perfusion and
uterine receptivity on another side. Reliability of TVCD in diagnostic
(HSSG) and therapeutic (local application of metothrexate in ectopic
pregnancy) procedures will be estimated. Other information about the project.
