Communication
Summary: In a representative group of released prisoners from
Serbian concentration camps during the war in Croatia 1991/92, EEG and
evoked brain potentials will be performed as follows: visual evoked
potentials, VEP, cognitive evoked potentials, VEP P300, evoked brain stem
potentials. Data obtained will be compared with events in the camp and data
on the health of the released prisoners obtained by other methods, with the
object of monitoring, health status, formation of a forensic medicine data
base on crime, disclosing the type of crime, evaluation of functional and
work ability of the released prisoners and also to contribute to better
understanding of the functional nervous system of man.
Keywords: Evoked potentials, VEP, VEP P300, BAEP, violence, concentration camps, war in Croatia.
Research goals: The aim of this study is to monitor the health
status of a representative group of released prisoners from Serbian
concentration camps during the war in Croatia 1991/92, by carrying out
repeated EEG examinations and brain evoked potentials and to contribute to
treatment; formation of a forensic medicine data base on crime; evaluation
of functional and work ability of the released prisoners, and better
understanding of the functional nervous system of man. Other information about the project.
