Summary: The documentation of 5 523 patients in Esthetic surgery in Clinical Medical cienter in Rijeka was examined within the period from 1986-1992. There have been registrated 27 cases of Acne adultorum, 17 cases of Rosacee, 9 cases of Dermatitis perioralis and 1 case of Rhynophyme. Oral focuses have been registrated 64,29% of the cases. A high dpercentage of oral focuses in Rosacee and Dernatitas perioralis . The most common casses of oral focuses are caused by remained roots. The frequent occurrence of periodontal disease in the population has probably been the result of not paying enough attention to the diagnosis of these diseases.From 1991 to 1993 patients from the dermatological surgery suffering from Acne adultorum, Rosacee, Dermatitis perioralis and Rhymophyme were being sent to the Periodontal surgery for diagnosis and therapy of the oral focuses. In all of the cases through periodontometrical procedures , the subject were found to be suffering from parodontitis.During the surgical therapy of periodontium with gingiva excision and histochemical examination the existence of mast cells have been confirmed. The quantitive correlations of mast cells in the patientwith cutaneus reactions and those in a controlled group have been identified. H.E. preparations have been made in order to obtain the complete evaluation of tissue reaction.

Research goals: Clinical state of periodontia should be compared to the histological results of gingiva. The identification of mast cells should be carried out by means of histological, histochemical ane imunological tehniques.It is neccessary to research whether subjects with face skin changes(Perioral dermatitis, Rosacee, Acne adultorum, Rhynophyma) as well as periodontal changes have difference in cellular infiltrate of gingiva those subject with periodontal changes without face skin changes. According to cellular infiltrate findings , possible reaction to local immunity mechanism to the progression both of periodontal disease and face skin changes should be determinated.
