Summary: Selenium is an essential microelement for animals and
humans. Its content in feed and food reflects on level in body. The
developed countries as USA, Canada and most europien countries have already
provided studies to determine the level of selenium in soil, foodstufs and
in human population. There are no similar data for Republic of Croatia, so
this investigation is contribution in this field.
