Summary: Immunoglobuline A is the main immunoglobulin in local
tissues, specially mucose, and the most effective defence of them.
Secretory IgA (SCIgA) has ability to connect with bacterial toxins,
lipopolisaccharides of bacterial membrans or tumor antigens. So it inhibits
to such way it binding of toxins and microorganisms to specific tissue
(mucosal) receptors, inhibits activation of cyclic AMP and colonisation of
microorganisms. The helth liver bind secretory component (SC) of
immunoglobulin A, so IgA is in sera in inactive form. However, the sera
values of IgA show the changes in local synthesis such as local
immunological event. The changes of serum IgA concentrations insufficiently
are evaluted in diagnostic and prognostic in humane and veterinary
medicine. In our investigation sera IgA concentrations will be examined for
human and different animals in depending of disease (infection, malignomas,
parasithosis, dermathosis). We will try to find out the relationship of
IgA and the other sera proteins (IgG, albumin, tumor markers, cellular
immunity) in some disease. We wount to prove that the serum IgA
concentration could be together with other paramethars a prognostic factor
in diagnostics of some diseases.
Keywords: immunoglobulins, immunoglobulin A, anti-IgA antibodies, clinical assays, sera: humans and animals, infections, parasithosis, malignomas, dermathosis, prognosis, diagnosis
Research goals: Aimes: It is well know that healthy organisms
produce constant concentrations of immunoglobulins. Changes of the
circulation amount could be important prognostic factor. IgA is major
immunoglobulin in defence when mucosal tissue is attacted. The high values
of IgA in sera are sign of active defense of organisms, but loss of them is
a sign of illiness progress. On want to study the values of IgA in sera of
subjects suffering different illineses (infection diseases, malignomas,
dermathosis, parasithosis). Changes of concentration of serum IgA will be
put in relationship with concentration of other serum proteins. Results:
This study the IgA concentration in sera of 276 patients suffering from
primary malignat tumors located on different tissues and organs. Controls
were 58 sera from healthy persons. The sera were screened by the referent
method of Radial immunodiffusion (RID) and enzyme linked immunoapsorbent
assay (ELISA). IgA is increased 30%-40% in sera of patients with carcinomas
located on: head and neck, lung, brests, stomach and colon, malignant
melanoma. Concentration of serum IgG was not increased. In sera of women
with uterine cancer levels of IgG is much more increased then levels of
IgA. Statistic valuation performed by computer program "Statgraphis". We
consider, the high concentration of IgA is characteristic of earlier state
of primary malignant tumors, and relationship IgA/IgG could show the
immunological status of patients.
