Summary: Hay is the most important voluminous cattle food and it must be storaging in suficient quantity, especially for winter period. For the safety hay storage is necessary moisture in forage decreasing under 20 %. Hay must be storaged with as soon as possible less losses and energy requirement. Rational application of adequate machine can speed up field hay drying and storaging. In that way better hay quality and lower energy requirements can be achieved.

Research goals: 1. Saving as more as possible nutrients in forage and hay storaging with as low as possible mass losses 2. Rationalizing energy requirement with more operation simultaneous working and with application of machines with more working width 3. Speed up drying in field and decreasing possible influence of meteorological elements Hypothesis is: rational application of adequate machines can speed up hay drying in field, and in that way better hay quality and lower energy requirement can be achieved.
