Summary: Milk cows and fattened cattles are feeding with voluminous
andconcetrate food. Usually explanation is, that voluminous food isbasal
maintenance ration, and concetrate is for milk productionby milk cows or
for weight gain by fattened cattles. Adult cattlewere given daily 25-40 kg
green forage or silage, about 15 kg hayand additional 4-8 kg concetrate. In
this paper are explainedmechanize systems of cattle feeding with voluminous
forage.

Summary: In this paper results of research are presented, which deal
withpossibilities of reducing energy requirements in hay storage bymeans of
reducing time from mowing to storaging, and in that waydecreasing mass and
nutrients losses. Rational application ofadequate machines can speed up
mowing and drying, in fact haystoraging. In that way better hay quality and
lower energyrequirements can be achieved.

Summary: In this paper results of research are presented, which deal
withpossibilities of application high capacity machines, which arepart of
forage harvesting mechanisation chain. With applicationof rotary tedder SRO
680 Hydro and rotary rake VZ 380 can beachieving speed up of forage
harvesting and decreasing energyrequirement. Specialized tedders and rakes
achieve high quality, especially in respect to as low as possible harvesting
losses.
