Research goals: The knowledge of the raw material properties is one of essential factors in each technology for successfulness of production. The knowledge of wood properties is an essential factor in wood technology, which means it is important for proper choice of wood species for making a certain wood product of a certain quality with its certain final utilization. The understanding of technological properties and utilization feasibility of a particular wood species was in general empirical until recent. At the beginning of this century with the development of wood science the understanding of tecnological properties and utilization feasibility of a particular wood species are based on scientific investigations of structural, chemical, phisycal and mechanical wood properties and can be determined in advance. To get the wood material with the most desired properties, the wood as a raw material is improved today by various methods such as methods of selectioning and hybridization, and superior individuals are being multiplicated and then cultivated on the plantations. The knowledge of their wood properties is a very important indicator for the choice and the supstitution of commonly used species.
