Summary: In this project the genetic and paragenetic factors in
production of high quality chicken and pig meat have been researched.
Influence of genotype, feeding and zootechny on performances of chicken
and pigs. Feedstufs for poultry were also researched (determination of
real metabolic energy) as well as additives in the diets for poultry.
Researches of biological growth capacity of fattening chickens: Arbor
Acres, Ross, Hybro and Avian K24 have been performed in mixed and
separated fattening according to sex. Chicken feeding with higher
concentration of nutrients in mixtures as well as addition of Polizymes
and growth promotors have raisen significantly the gain in fattening and
enhanced food conversion. Significant differences between genotypes and sex
in physical-chemical and bioelectrical characteristics of chicken meat
have been established. Meat quality was also tested for new lines of
broilers such as Avian 34 and Avian 43. Nutritive value of chicken meat
was researched from the aspects of content of protein, fat, water, ash,
saturated and unsaturated fatty acids. An asymmetryc S-function as a
growth curve has been applied. Modified logistic function was used.
Phenotype expression researches of meatness of Large White, Swedish
Landrace and Lines 1 and 3, Hypor as well as crossbreds have shown that
selection of pigs on higher meat production provoked significant
distribution of lean ad fat tissue in the main parts of carcasses.
Correlation and regression coefficients between parameters of meat and
carcass quality. Results have shown that this is a production of meat with
very satisfactory quality. Disposal to stress and its determination in the
populations of pigs was showed. Results of pig carcass (meatiness)
evaluation on the basis of our own methods of research as well as according
to German methods have been very significant. Results of the research on
apportunities for livestock production development, especially poultry and
pig production by application of new technological and zootechnological
means are reported in the project.
Research goals: Researches are intended to find out new proceedings
in rationalproduction of high quality chicken meat and
pork. Thus, paragenetic factors (feeding, zootechnics) which have impact
onthe more efficient explotation of production capacities at modernchichen
and pig genotypes in our specfic conditions. The results of the researches
should confirm the need for redirection of broiler fattening technology
and selection of adequate genotypes in aim of enhanced quality chicken
meat production and more efficient creation of primary production for
specific processing. The results of pig meatness examinations should point
out impact of genoptypes, and they are very useful for selection work, as
wellas for making our regulations on evaluation of pig carcasses andtheir
using values for slaughtering industry, and matching of these regulations
with European.
