Summary: The researches on this project have been carried out on
fish pond "Grudnjak" PP "Orahovica" during the period of 1st January 1991
to 31st December 1995. They included getting knowledge of the existing
condition of fishing production in Slavonia and Baranja region on a model
of one classical carp fishing. They aimed to define causes of fish ponds
declining productivity, poor choice of offered fish assortiment on the
market, more presence of fish weeds in production as well as shortage of
grasping fish species and tenches breeding. Capability of new technological
possibilities and improvement in fish production in reference to classical
ones as well as their application in a wide production has been
inestigated. This researches encopassed few strategy directions: 1.
propagation of Silurus glanis carps and Tinca vulgaris by artificiel
spawning improving and gaining high productivity results, 2. breeding of
qualitative, large carp young fish from existing averages of 25 gr/piece to
50-100 gr/piece gained during the researches, 3. breeding of young fish
according to phases: from larvae to young fish of average individual mass
of 2-3 gr/piece, from young fish to one years (200-300 gr) in polyculture
with oneyear and twoyear carp, 4. consumed breeding sheatfish - 50 kg/ha
and more uin polycultural form of breeding, 5. fish food recipes improving
encompassed modern additions application (probiotcs, enzymes and essential
fatty acids) to fish food and their effect on biotechnological parameters
and meat quality of carps, sheatfish and tenches bred by intensive way.
Research goals: These researches aimed to find suitable methods and
technological solutions which will improve present fish production
technology and ensure high and economically acceptable results.
Slavonia-Baranja fish ponds are cronically short of all young fish species,
especially of carp, sheat fish and tenches. Improving of artificial spawing
of this fish species and newer tested food recipes with distribution and
feeding way improving enabled (together with all other productive factors
and technological requirements) considerably better results than former
obtained by classical technology. Avegare young carp yields were 1700 kg/ha
with average individual mass of 89 gr/piece, that is higher value by 126%
than fiveyears average results of classical breeding. The Polizym addition
in food from 0,5-1,5 gr/kg improved biological parameters increment to 8,7%
in a cage breeding. Different levels of linoleic fatty acid (18:3w3) in
food (0,5-2,0%) for sheat fish and tench indicate that for maximal growth
of this species in intesive breeding it is necessary to ensure 1-1,25% of
this essential fatty acid for tenches even to 1% for sheat fish. Researches
are continuied and former results point pout succesful fish production by
mentioned methods application.
