Summary: Summary: The "Management and Entrepreneurship" project includes the researches performed into the entirety of economic, technical and technological, biotechnical, social, political and ecological elements and their links, establishing thus the framework of the project itself. Improving the theoretical base of the entrepreneurship (by analyzing its own empirical experiences and those of developed countries), as well as its implementation (through research and educational processes), it contributes to the development of a favourable entrepreneurial atmosphere. It refers especially to the level of governmental administration which has significant influence on entrepreneurial endeavours, as well as small and medium-sized private enterprises and the privatised and public ones. The aim of the project is to acquire sufficient knowledge at the cognitive and empirical level of the researches and the implementation of entrepreneurship into the Croatian economy, thus enabling: 1) design of modern managerial conception, strategy and policy of the development of the Croatian economy as a whole, at the level of regions and at the level of the economic subjects; 2) implementation of defined solutions into the Croatian economic policy defining necessary control points of the monitoring system; 3) permanent research into the changeable conditions of the environment essential for setting up the aims, tasks and business instruments of the economic subjects. The basic aim of the research has been set up with regard to the definition of the conception, strategy and policy of the development of entrepreneurship and management in the Republic of Croatia and the development of applied investment solutions/programmes at the level of craftmanship, small and medium-sized enterprises and former state-owned enterprises in the transition process and privatisation. Solutions, on general level, are particularly useful for the countries in transition. As part of the project, on the level of drafts and business plans, 1,000 investment programmes (especially for small and medium-sized enterprises) have been prepared according to the World Bank criteria. The most successful programmes have been included in the book "Entrepreneurship for European Countries in Transition including 150 Highly Profitable Businesses" published by well-known American publisher "Irwin" from Chicago.

Research goals: Aim of the project: The aim of the project is to acquire sufficient knowledge on the cognitive and empirical level of the researches and the implementation of entrepreneurship into the Croatian economics enabling thus: 1) design of modern managerial conception, strategy and policy of the development of the Croatian economics as a whole, on the level of regions and on the level of the economic subjects; 2) implementation of defined solutions into the Croatian economic policy defininig necessary control points of the monitoring system; 3) permanent research into the changeable conditions of the environment essential for setting up the aims, tasks and business instruments of the economic subjects. As a real contribution to the project, 1,000 investment programmes have been presented according to the unique and transparent methodology of the World Bank. Particular institutional solutions, which would intermediate between the transfer of capital intended for the restructuring, i.e. for the structural adaptation of the Croatian economy have been also presented.
