Summary: This project investigates the legality of growth of global
productivity factors and the effects of structural changes to the growth of
that productivity in the Republic of Croatia. Besides, a comparison of
structure of global productivity factors growth and changes in the
structure of economy, has been performing with the countries of Eastern and
Western Europe.
Research goals: 1) To compile indispensable data for analysis of
global productivity factors, and to adjust methodologically statistical
sources in such a way as to minimize restrictions in interpretation and
comparison of received results. 2) To estimate the structure and discover
directions of acceleration and slowing down the growth of global
productivity factors. To bring directions in firm connection with
institutional frames within which the growth of global productivity takes
places. To establish legalities by the means of which the changes in the
structure of employment, structure of capital and structure of production
influenced the movement of global productivity. To carry out the projection
of global productivity movement. 3) To do the comparison of received
results for the Republic of Croatia with the results for the other
countries. 4) To qualify young and the other personnel to be completely
equal in the analysis of global productivity with the personnel of the most
progressive countries. Principally, all of the four groups of objectives
have been realized. The results of research show, that till the beginning
of war, the Republic of Croatia occured at the level of development which
characterized the more developed and middle developed countries. In other
words, the economic growth and the growth of global productivity in the
Republic of Croatia is not behind the growth of Eastern and Western
European countries. Moreover, the structure of the economy of the Republic
of Croatia is more similar to the structure of the economy of Western
European countries than to that of the Eastern European countries. All that
points out, that in peacable conditions, the economy of the Republic of
Croatia can relatively easily be included in Western and Eastern European
trends.
