Summary: The failure to establish regional tourism boards
anticipated in the Tourism Master Plan of Croatia has bad impact on
over-all tourism development of Croatia since the majority of existing
county tourism boards do not have all their disposal a satisfying material
basis for effective functioning. Based on the very successful English model
the establishment of eight regional tourism boards covering the entire
territory of 21 Croatian counties is proposed. Such territorial
organization would improve the over-all functioning and the marketing of
Croatia tourism, especially because there is a basis for its establishment
in the existing "Law on tourism boards and the promotion of Croatian
tourism".

tourist facilities and attractions,as well as basic data about traffic
position and infrastructure.
