Summary: The project is intended to bring together as many
researchers as possible to write scientific works on modern Croatian
democracy and the creation of the Croatian nation state. The merits of the
research results should make them interesting to both the political and
scientific public. Translations of principal works are designed to
introduce Croatia to broader circles of political sciences, which would
certainly greatly contribute to the presentation of a realistic picture of
Croatia. The main topics for wrighting are: the Croatian democracy, the
specific Croatian way to independence, the dissolution of former
Yugoslavia and the collapse of the Yugoslav idea, the liberation war,
international interest and the position of Croatia.
Keywords: CROATIA, CROATIAN NATIONALISM, POLITICAL PLURALISM, DISSOLUTION OF FORMER SFRJ, POLITICAL IDEAS AND ACTIONS FOR INDEPENDENCE, DEFENCE WAR FOR COUNTRY INDEPENDENCE, NATIONAL MINORITY, ETHNIC COMMUNITIES, SERBIAN AGRESSION, INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION
Research goals: The project is designed to explore the highlights of
the Croatian policy on its way to democracy and independence in order to
make Croatia, like other modern states, a subject of political sciences.
If proper working conditions are provided, the project should turnout five
to ten publications a year of which a half would be translated into
English and the other half into other world languages. These publications
would be offered to the international public and scientific communities
through our people working abroad with publishing houses, bookshops and
libraries. Considering the fact that Croatia is still young and week in the
field of promotion and media, the best way to present and defend it for
the time being is only through a scientific treatment of certain
interesting areas of the Croatian life, especially those which so far have
been dealt in low-quality or untrue publications. Other information about the project.
