Summary: This research project has to provide a scientific
justification for the answer to the question: by looking through the prism
of confessionality (Catholic, Orthodox and Muslim), to what extent is
this on-going war religious, civil, and/or expansionist, and to what
extent has it been caused by internal and/or external factors. Describing
the war chronology, its extent and its social implications, sociology can
provide an answer about the scope of confessional active or passive
influences. That answer has an extraordinary meaning and significance not
only for finding solutions for actual conflicts, but as well for the
healing of the long-term effects caused bz war in these areas.

Research goals: Goal of this research is twofold: a) on one hand, to
investigate intrinsic social and psychological determinants of confessions
in the on-going war; b) on the other, to reach a cognitive result about
the intrinsic implications of war, and to state the role of confessions in
the healing of its consequences. The optimal expectation of this research
area is the statement of hierarchy of determinants of war, the statement
reached through considerations about the role and influence of
confessional communities in the recent past, present and the future. Other information about the project.
