Summary: The aim of this investigation was to find out eventual
connectionbetween the incidence and the intensity of undesired ways
ofbehaviour and the ability of orientation and mobility of visuallyimpaired
children. Data of the two tested sats of behavioralcharacteristics
(variables estimating undesider and insufficientways of behaviour) were
collected on the AAMD Adaptive BehaviourScale and were based on the
defectologist's opinion. Results haveshowed that the visually impaired
pupils manifest different waysof undesired behaviours and that such
behaviours are related withtheir ability of orienting and mobility during
everydayactivities. According to this conclusion author is suggesting
theneed for intervention and systematic, programmed work on theelimination
and diminishing undesired ways of behaviour in orderto positively increase
the ability of orienting and mobility ofvisually impaired children.
Keywords: Undesired ways of behaviour, visually impaired children orientation and mobility, agresive behaviour, bad motivation, relation between orientation and mobility and characteristics of behaviour.

Summary: The problems of this work is a visually impaired pupil for
whomthe defectologist marked that he expresses undesired andaggressive
behaviour and low motivation for work. Data about thepupil and his
behaviour were collected through the analysis ofschool and medical
documentation, behavioral estimation on theAAMD Adaptive Behaviour Scale,
WISC Intelligence Test and throughthe systematic behavioral observation in
5 everyday situations(dressing up, undressing of clothes and shoes, taking
meals, selfcare, education and free time activities). These data
wereanalyzed in the case study method. Undesired aggressivebehaviour,
stressed out by the defectologist isn't so intensiveand extensive that it
should be taken as one general behavioralcharacteristic.

Summary: The purpose of this paper is to analyze the results of
theobservation of undesired ways of behavior in blind and partiallysighted
children which were stressed out by defectologists in theCenter for
education "Vinko Bek", Zagreb. Systematic observationestimated the
exsistance of all identified undesired ways ofbehavior except three. It has
also been proved that suchbehaviors are more frequent in situations which
are according tothose asking for more selfactivity and selfiniciative at
the sideof a pupil (free time) such behaviors are less frequent.
Thisfindings are confirmed in the analysis of undesired behaviors ofsome of
the pupils in the sample.

Summary: In this research are expected relevant corelations
betweenfactors of orientation and mobility of the blind and factors oftheir
efficiency in that kind of activity. Verification of suchhypothesis was
made on 24 blind subjects. Relevant data arecollected by the "Questionary
of Mobility", "Orientation on theirOwn Body", by intelligence test WISC and
by analysis of medico -educational documentation. Applying sutable
statistical procedureare extracted factors of senso - spatial, and loco -
motorialabilities and between them were find relevant corelations

Summary: Blindness as such has very serious implications to
personal, profesional and social life of the blind people. Thoseimplications
are very present in the area of orientation andmobility. In this research,
it has been made an attempt ofdefinition of latent dimensions, wich are
responsible fororientation and mobility. By multyvariate analysis has
beenextracted 12 factors covering space of orientation and mobility.

Summary: Modern approach in education takes in account all
potentials andabillities of a child. The same refers to the children
withvisual impairments. The blind and low vision children have
manyindividual characteristic (visual impairment is just one ofthem). These
characteristics are related to their personality, cognitive abillities,
reactions to stimuli etc. However thepeople around them and even their
teachers in school think ofthem primarily as of visually impaired students,
and visualimpairment is characteristics that dominate in describe
them. These students are different even due to their visualfunctioning. It
is important to notice that people and teachersin regular settings have
some prejudices and misthoughts. Togain a real picture of functioning of
students with visualimpairments, it is important to assess their
abillities. Theassessment should include the following: I visual
abillities, II intellectual abillities, III sensory-motor skills, IV
learningskills, V socio-emotional reactions, VI activities of dailyliving.
In the assesment procedure many imstrument and techniquescould be used.
That means also data analysis of earlydevelopment, observation in various
natural situations, application of adequate tests, cheque lists for specific
areas. The key of assessment procedure is interpretation and integrationof
gathered data about student with visual impairment. Aconsistent picture of
functioning of such student is a good basisfor creating individual
education program as well as forrehabilitation program.

Summary: Independence in activities of daily living in condition
ofvisual impairment need systematic teaching and learning. Blindand low
vision students can not reach many details of theseactivities spontaneously
neither they can learn them incidentallylike most children do. As they
attend to school with normalseeing peers and spend their free time with
children fromneighborhood, it is importand that they are competent in
numerousroutine activities of everyday life. Students with
visualimpairments need well structured teaching for table
etiquette, personal grooming, meal preparation, organizing their
workingplace in school, money manipulation, time telling, smallshopping,
small cloth repairing, recreational activities andhobbies etc. Learning
this practical skills is long-term processand it is not a part of formal
academic work in school. Theteacher of visually handicapped should create
programs forteaching such skills which include assessment in
particularskill, determine priority list for teaching, orientation in
spaceand on materials, transfer of learnt skills in new situations
andanalysis of such.

Summary: The ability of children with visual impairements for
orientationand mobility was analysed in connection with basic space
conceptsand elementary physical abilities. The specially
constructedquestionaire was applied to assesss the acquisition of
12concepts (right-left, up-down, high-low, big-small, etc.) and thephysical
abilities like walking, running, jumping and climbing, relevant for
mobility. The subjects were 24 blind and low visionboys and girls from 8 to
17 years old. A procedure ofquasicannonical analysis of covariance was
applied and theresults were discussed separately for the blind students
fromthose of low vision subjects. The differences between groups
wererelated with their skills in orientation and mobility.
