Summary: The school is above all an educational institution. The
pedagogical classics do not recognize a school which does not educate.
The basic aim is to provide its students with the necessary knowledge,
skills and habits, to develop their physical and intelectual skills to
the maximum of their capacities and to enrich them as human beings by
stimulating, developing and tending their human qualities. The human
characteristics are important elements of all human beings and therefore
they must never be disregarded. Knowledge and skill without the human
characteristics loose their ethical meaning and in most cases serve to
the evil and not good. Therefore, a democratic society pays great
attention to the successfull achievement of the educational function in
the family, school and in the wider society. This function has been
greatly neglected in our former socio-political system. In accordance
with the aforementioned, the aim of this research is to improve the
educational work and to re-establish the educational function of schools,
family and all other educational elements. This will lead us to a new
understanding of the phenomenon of education and educational function,
conceiving and elaborating the methodics of education and will represent
a real help to teachers, parents and other educators so that they can
perform their educational function with greater effect.

Research goals: The basic a i m of this research is the study and
analysis of causes and consequences of neglecting the educational
activities and educational function and furthermore the discovery and
presentation of ways, methods and procedures for the re-establishment of
the educational activity and the educational function in schools, family
and wider social life. The r e s u l t s (contribution) of this research
are expected not only in the scientific comprehension of the educational
phenomenon and the educational function, but also in the real elaboration
of the methodics of educational activity and in particular theoretical and
practical methodical help to teachers, parents and other educators in the
performance of their specific educational tasks and which could enable
them to perform their educational function with greater success.
Therefore, each year a respective monographic work is expected to be
published, planned for the practical work in educational activities with
the aim to help the implementation of the new models and forms, new
methods, means and procedures for a more successful educational
stimulation, directing and acting. Other information about the project.
